Slow but great!

It's sounds like a slower version of Off and Running. Slow songs aren't really my favorite but hey, it cools people down and this song cooled me down when I was angry. This was a cool song and I liked it. Nice work!

Thanks a lot dude! This was a little thing I wrote after listening to a Steve Vai song, "All About Eve," so it draws influence from that.

Nice! This is what I call awesome!

Wow, slow start at the beginning but when I heard it more, it went faster. That sounds like a remix of the song Smoothie but better. This is with a acoustic guitar as well, this is sweet. Nice job and keep it up.

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks for the review! Yeah, I thought the weird atmospheric sounding opening would be a nice contrast to the energy of the rest of the song. Sort of takes you from the soft, quiet world of Smoothie into a faster-paced, more hectic world. This is another song that I thought up and then just couldn't get out of my head for weeks.

It sounds pretty classical!

The song sounds pretty slow but it's interesting in a way. This song makes me wounder about weird things. Strange huh. This song was cool and I liked listening to it. Good Job!

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks man -- This actually sprang out of a version of God Bless America that I was working on, odd as that may sound. I'm glad you liked it.

Nice heavy loop!

This is something that I rarely hear. It sorta sounds like Islam music but heavy. Kind of weird but it is good. Nice work!

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks buddy! The eastern influence could be either from the wiggly-ness of it, or the key changes centering on the tritone dual-resolution. I really liked this idea, but I could have done a better job with the recording quality and mix. Thanks again for another cool review!

This sounds fimilar to me.

I just can't remember what kind of song it was but it sounds a lot like this one. A very jazzy and a rock feeling to it. Can you tell me what an Acoustic guitar really does besides plays really good music. Good job with this song!

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks for the review, buddy! I get that a lot; I listen to a ton of music, so I wind up alluding to a lot of it accidentally.

This was another sort of spontaneous thing I had been banging around with for a while before I finally recorded it. Kind of went on a blitz after I got this guitar -- an Ibanez AW200Cent.

Woah, Heavy loop!

This is a heavy loop indeed! When I first heard this song, I had my speakers up pretty loud and the music scared me a little. I was so lost in my own little world. Well, anyways, this is tough and I like it. Nice Work!

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks a lot man! This is one of my favorites.

Really nice beats!

This is a really smooth jazzy loop. Sounds very old school to me somehow. I really don't know how this song was inspired by a subway musician at the Union Square. You gotta give me some info about that. My shoulders are still moving. This is a really nice loop!

Thanks a lot dude!

Well, I take the train to and from work everyday, and nearly everyday there's at least two different musical groups performing in the Union Square station at 14th St. Usually, one is a small group of jazz/rock performers on the upstairs walkway, and the other is a solo act on the downstairs platform (either the hipster jazz-xylophone guy, the Israeli-centric accordion guy, or occasionally the unbelievable Asian box zither dude). Anyhoo, on one occassion, the group upstairs was playing this jazzy vamp - the piano player was playing this repetitive three chord progression, the drummer was bustin' out this heavy hip-hop beat behind it, and I believe it was either a sax or a trumpet soloing over it. The chords were just awesome I thought -- so much vagueness, implied transitions unresolved, and rich with possibilities. Three little chords just voiced in such a fluid way that they seemed to grow out of one another. The chord progression just stuck in my head for the whole hour-long ride home; as soon as I got in, I transcribed it, changed the key to something I liked better, then added the bassline and a cool beat to it. Thus, "Subterranean" was born, as I named it to memorialize where it came from. ("14th Street Randomness" just didn't have quite the same ring to it.)

Game over is right!

It sounds like somthing from the Final Fantasy series when you die in a battle. In a way, this song is pretty sad when you listen to it a third time. It's so sad when you lose in a game and it says game over. It makes me want to break the damn controller. Nice Work!

TritoneAngel responds:

lol -- don't go breakin' stuff Seamonky; then I wouldn't be able to have as many of your reviews, and that would suck.

Thanks again, dude!

The video game I made it for was to be sort of a Final Fantasy VII meets Lord of the Rings type dealie, so I think it would have fit the mood, particularly with the other musical things I composed for the game. I'll try and post some of the other material in the future, as people seem to have reacted well to this one.

BTW - you rule! Keep on reviewin' as yours are damn good. Glad I'm keepin' you interested.

Nice start off with the paino!

It sounded like somthing from a scary movie. When the song got faster, then things started to get really crazy. The piano beats are really good. This was good and keep up the good work!

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks for the review, Seamonky!

Actually, that's one of the more prevalent places for atonal music -- movie soundtracks, particularly horror movies. The viewer usually doesn't notice it because it fits really well with the visuals, just sort of blending in, so I definitely see what you mean.

Now, if someone wants to use it for a creepy/scary flash, I'm all for it!

Just like the second one.

But this one has more feeling and this one is much better. It sounds more heaver that the second Boss intro. Keep doing the good work TritoneAngel!

TritoneAngel responds:

Thanks again buddy! I like v.1 a lot better too, but I wanted to do v.2 in the correct key and with a heavier feel to make different kinds of fans & flash artists happy.
